CHILI AND CONCERT

On October 10th at the Bourne UMC at 5:30 pm we will serve Chili and Cornbread  (also beverage and dessert). No tickets needed for the meal, but donations gratefully accepted that evening. At 6:30 pm “The Kempters” will share their musical ministry. These gifted Southern artists say,  “It is truly our joy to share the faith and hope we all have in Christ Jesus.” Their music is very unique and they cover a wide range of genres. People say they have a little something for everyone. No admission charge for concert, however, a love offering will be received for this band. This ministry began in 2007 and since that time they have shared their music in churches and civic organizations all across the country. They are a home-school family and the children range in age from 16 to 28. Members (above) are Charli on drums, Nathan on bass, Dani on piano, Chris on fiddle & Jo plays mandolin. Hope to see you there. You’re going to be awfully glad you came! Be sure to visit their website and see this article to learn more about them. www.thekempters.net https://tribunepowell.wordpress.com/2014/10/23/my-afternoon-with-the-kempters/

Chaz (their Dad) passed away suddenly of a heart attack on March 10th, 2019 – two years to the day that (their Mom) passed away. The Kempter children say, “Dad lives on in our hearts and we seek to carry his legacy forward.”
