The Psalms reading group will continue Sundays at 12:30 in the Perry Room, for at least a few more weeks. (Watch this space.) No meeting next week, September 13th, due to Rally Day.

Interested in becoming a member of this church? Please speak with Tim. We will schedule a group to discuss basic Christian and Methodist beliefs. People who are already members may also enjoy this group.

LOOKING AHEAD: The October Newsletter deadline will be earlier than usual, on Tuesday, September 22nd. Please have any articles into the church office by that date. The newsletter will come out the weekend of October 3rd and 4th. Brittany will be on vacation from September 17th through October 4th. Thank you!

UPPER CAPE CHAPLAINCY “LOBSTER ON THE CANAL” CRUISE: The Upper Cape Chaplaincy invites you to come aboard their “Lobster on the Canal” cruise Sunday, September 13 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., leaving from Onset pier. As you know, this interdenominational/interfaith organization financially supports Falmouth Hospital’s chaplain, as well as chaplains at JML, Royal Megansett Nursing and Retirement Home, Royal Cape Cod Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and Royal Nursing Center. Lobster rolls (or egg salad or chicken salad), chips, and dessert will be included. Tickets for this fund-raiser are $30. CHILI & CONCERT FRIDAY SEPT. 18th at Bourne UMC. Starting at 6:00 pm we will serve Chili and Cornbread. No tickets needed for the meal but donations accepted to help us recoup our food cost. Starting at 7:00 pmThe Kempter Family” will share their musical ministry. This Handmade Gospel Band from Slapout, Alabama will perform their own unique style of Vintage Gospel. No admission charge for concert, however, a love offering will be received. Hope to see you there! You’re going to be awfully glad you came! THE PUMPKINS ARRIVE Sunday, September 27th after church. We will be having a combined 10am service with Cataumet here at Bourne UMC, prior to the pumpkins’ arrival. Please mark your calendars! In preparation for their arrival, there will be a setup and decorating day on Saturday, September 26th, times TBA. Please watch the announcements for more information as the time gets closer.
