PUMPKIN PATCH SIGN-UP: There are a lot of holes in the sign up sheet that need to be filled. We do a very brisk business on the weekends and help is definitely needed to fill in the empty spaces. If everyone signs up for just one more shift we can probably fill in the gaps as we go. Thanks!

THE OCTOBER NEWSLETTER DEADLINE is this Tuesday, 9/27.

LITURGISTS are needed in October, as well as ALTAR FLOWERS.

In our membership vows and each time we welcome a new member, we say together these words from our Methodist Hymnal: “As members together with you in the body of Christ and in this congregation of the United Methodist Church, we renew our covenant faithfully to participate in the ministries of the church by our prayers, our presence, our gifts, and our service, that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ.” Every Sunday through October 16 we will be focusing on one of these five commitments. May we be in prayer about each vow.

CENTERING PRAYER: Introductory sessions on Centering Prayer will be offered at St John the Evangelist church (corner of Shore Rd and Barlow’s Landing in Pocasset) on Thursday evenings from 7:00-8:00pm beginning October 6th. All welcome. Information about this prayer practice can be found on www.contemplativeoutreach.org.

WANTED: singers, instrumentalists, musicians to perform “Special Music” during the offering. Accomplished or not, pro or amateur, adult or child. Anyone who wishes to offer praise is welcome to perform. Accompanist available. Contact Kari Fietek.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO VIDEOTAPE WORSHIP! The broadcasting of our service is a valuable community outreach. We’re looking for folks that would pick up the camera from the station on Friday and film on Sunday. It would involve a short training session by the station personnel. If you are interested in this ministry, please call Bob Burt.

ANNUAL REPORTS will be due on November 1st.
