THE MARCH NEWSLETTER DEADLINE is this Tuesday, February 28th.

ASH WEDNESDAY is this Wednesday, March 1st. There will be a service here at Bourne UMC at 7:00pm that evening.

WORLD DAY OF PRAYER SERVICE: This year, the local World Day of Prayer service on Friday, March 3rd, will be held at 11:00am at Christ Lutheran Church, 485 Brick Kiln Road, in Falmouth.

NEXT UMW MEETING IS MARCH 6TH: Our traditional Prayer and Self-Denial service will be held at 1pm on March 6th, led by Sandra Smith. Please read Exodus 1: 6 through 2:10 in preparation for the meeting.

MEN’S BREAKFAST CLUB: Mike Eden is heading up a new Men’s Breakfast Club that will meet once a month. The first meeting will be at Mike’s home on a date TBD. If you would be interested in participating, please sign up on the list in Crain Hall. Once we see who is interested, we can find a date and time that will work well for everyone.

SNOW CANCELATION POLICY: If we have inclement weather on a Sunday and decide to cancel worship, we will post the cancelation on the church website, Facebook page, WCVB Channel 5 news and on capecod.com.

CHILDREN’S CLOTHING EXCHANGE: We continue to accept gently used warm winter children’s clothes, sizes 0-14, which may be dropped off at the Thrift Shop or in the church hall. The exchange is open the first Saturday of each month from 10am to 12pm.

BACKPACK PROJECT: These items are urgently needed: Cereal-cold, any kind, Oatmeal packets, Jelly, Mayonnaise, Canned tuna, Canned chicken, Canned pasta with meat-raviolis, lasagna, spaghetti with meatballs, Hot cocoa and Microwave popcorn. A complete list is available in Crain Hall.
